Information Events for Disabled and Dyslexic Students

Event: Information Events for Disabled and Dyslexic Students

The University of Sheffield are able to provide tailored information events for school and college students who might be interested in applying to university e.g. a talk from university staff and current students about university support for disabled students.

Students with a disability or condition that has an impact on their ability to study are likely to be eligible for support at university but are often unaware of this when applying.  Disability Transition Officers at the University of Sheffield can provide support to raise the aspirations of disabled learners who might be thinking of applying to university (any university, not only those considering the University of Sheffield) by providing information on the support available and how to go about setting this up.  They can do this in a variety of different ways including information sessions, stalls at events and staff training. Sessions can be delivered either within your school or college or at the University.
